It's spring! The days are getting longer! It's picnic time!!!
Since February, Los Angeles-area SUSTAINABILITY NETWORK members (artists, creatives, administrators, producers, and organizers) have been meeting monthly to get to know one another; talk about our work, needs, and interests; and brainstorm ideas to make this network what we want and need right now, over tasty treats and delicious cocktails.
This month, instead of meeting in someone's home, we will take advantage of the long spring days and have a RIVERSIDE POTLUCK PICNIC in Elysian Valley! I'll bring a jug of Pimm's Cups, if you'll bring snacks and other (non-alcoholic, or cleverly-disguised) drinks to share. Plus picnic blankets, cushions, and an extra layer for when the sun goes down.
Our conversation topic for the month is "WHO ARE YOUR PEOPLE?" We'll talk about what it means to build community and establish collaborative relationships and alliances. We'll also take a moment to think about the people that keep our fires lit and our bellies full, and to whom it matters that we succeed.
